How Wallet Setup Works

When you generate a Polymarket or Kalshi API key, we create a basic wallet for you behind the scenes. But to actually trade, you need to complete wallet setup — which happens through Claude in Cursor Cursor.

Use the form above. This creates your account and a basic EOA (Externally Owned Account) wallet. Your private key is encrypted and stored securely — you can export it anytime.

Add Config to Cursor Cursor & Restart

Copy the MCP config shown above and paste it into your ~/.cursor/mcp.json. Then restart Cursor so it loads the new MCP server.

Ask Claude to Setup Your WalletRequired for trading

In Cursor, tell Claude:

"Setup my Polymarket wallet"

This one command does everything:

  • Deploys your Safe wallet — a smart contract wallet on Polygon
  • Sets up trading credentials — registers with Polymarket CLOB
  • Approves contracts — so you can buy/sell shares

Fund Your Safe & Start Trading

Claude will show you your Safe wallet address. Send USDC (Polygon) to that address, then you're ready to trade! Ask Claude to "check my balance" or "search for markets about [topic]" to get started.

FAQ

What if I just want to search markets, not trade?

Use the Discovery server. No wallet setup needed — just generate an API key and start searching.

Do I need MATIC/ETH for gas?

No! All transactions use Polymarket's relayer, which is completely gasless. You only need USDC.

Can I export my private key?

Yes. Ask Claude to "export my private key" — you'll set a password and get an encrypted bundle you can decrypt locally.

What's the difference between EOA and Safe?

EOA is a basic Ethereum wallet (created when you get an API key).Safe is a smart contract wallet (created during setup) that enables gasless trading. Your funds should be in your Safe address.

How do I get access codes?
